sacco nanna : come si fa - how to sew the sleeping bag

Ecco come ho creato il sacco nanna.

Here I’m showing you how I made to create the sleeping bag.

Partendo dallo strato interno di cotone. Dopo aver scelto le misure che fanno al caso vostro, piegate la stoffa su se stessa e cucitela su tre lati, lasciandone uno corto aperto. Lasciatevi un margine di un cm su ciascuna cucitura.

Let’s start from the inner layer. After you choose the measures of your sleeping bag, fold the fabric and sew it on three sides, leaving 1 cm free.

 

Ora tagliate due rettangoli di pile della dimensione del rettangolo che avete appena cucito.

Cucite questi rettangoli di pile sul rettangolo di cotone, utilizzando il centimentro che avevate lasciato di margine.

Now cut two rectangles of pile fabric as big as the rectangle you have just sewed.

Sew these two rectangles on the cotton one  using that free centimeter you left on this rectangle.

Strato esterno in flanella: piegate la stoffa su se stessa e cucitela su tre lati, lasciandone uno corto aperto. Lasciatevi un margine di un cm su ciascuna cucitura.

Outer layer in flanellette: fold the fabric and sew it on three sides, leaving 1 cm free.

Questo strato deve essere leggermente più grande di quello in cotone, altrimenti avrete difficoltà ad inserire le parti interne in questo.

Take care: the outer layer should be lightly bigger than the inside parts, otherwise you will have problems while putting them into.

Insert the inner layers in the outer one: sew all together as in the figure at the right and at the back of the work.

 Cut a stripe of flanellette a little longer than the circumference of the sleeping bag. Fold the sides as in the figure and sew them.

Pin the stripe on the sleeping bag as shown in the figure, and hand sew it along the green line shown.

In the back fold the stripe as shown in the last photo.

Now you just have to choose some ribbons to form the straps of your almost completed sleeping bag.
